Bereavement & Loss

“If we climb high enough, we will reach a height from which tragedy ceases to look tragic” Irvin D Yalom

We are all born into this world and we will all die one day. Beginnings and endings connect us all, no matter where we live, how old we are, our faith, our circumstances, culture or race. All life begins and ends and nature teaches us this in it's perpetual cycles.

  • Are you struggling to cope with your loss?

  • Have you experienced the death of a loved one?

  • Do you feel you 'should be over it by now'?

  • Has your relationship come to an end?

  • Are you getting divorced?

  • Have your children moved onto a different stage?

  • Have you moved house or area?

  • Has an important relationship or association come to an end?

  • Are you at the point in your life that you are retiring or thinking about it?

  • Have you been made redundant or lost your job?

  • Has something happened to effect your good health?

  • Has an ambition or hope not come to fruition?

  • Are you worrying about your own mortality and those close to you?

Endings can be an opportunity to close a particular chapter and create space for a new one. But we may need to take some time to assimilate and accept what has happened before we are ready to do that. Therapy can provide this space.
