Questions & Answers

Q: How do I book a session with you?

A: You can email me at freed.sarahl@gmail.com or call me on 01223 811170 or 0773 975 9338. I will respond as soon as I can. If you decide you would like to book an initial session, we can arrange this and i will email you a confirmation with all the information you will need to know. please note that I do charge a session fee for first sessions.

Q: Where are you located?

A: I am based in Lode CB25 - 6-7 miles between Cambridge and Newmarket.

Q: What kind of sessions do you offer?

A: I offer therapy in 3 ways - in person, online or walking therapy

Q: What will happen the first time we first meet?

A:  I will ask you about your history and background and get a better understanding of what brings you to therapy and what you hope to gain from the sessions. At the end of the first session, we will agree a plan going forward of how frequently you would like to meet. Our first session also gives you the opportunity to see whether I am the right therapist for you, whether you feel comfortable with me and my way of working.

Q: How many sessions will we need?

A: There are no set rules about number of sessions. It depends on what you would like to work on, as well as practical issues such as diaries and finances. We will decide this together. Generally speaking, I work in an open-ended way.

Q: How confidential are the sessions?

A: Our sessions are completely confidential and whatever you say to me will remain contained within our conversation. With working online, there is always a potential risk of our privacy being compromised and this is something you need to be aware of. But I do my utmost to maintain confidentiality where possible. (Please see my privacy policy for more details.) There are a couple of exceptions to this, for example, if you disclosed to me you are involved in something illegal or if I felt there may be a risk of you harming yourself or someone close to you. I would then have to notify relevant third parties.

Q: What if I don't feel you are the right therapist for me?

A: I won't take it personally! We would discuss other options for you. Getting the right therapist and building a good therapeutic relationship is essential for the success of the therapy. If, for whatever reason, you didn't feel we were a good match or I thought someone else might be better placed to support you, I would help you to find what's right for you.

Q: How do I pay?

A: All payments are now via bank transfer the day prior to our session.
